Chamber Benefits

Benefits of Membership:

The Clarendon Visitor Center: The Chamber of Commerce, in cooperation with the Clarendon Economic Development Corp. (CEDC), operates the city’s official visitor center located in downtown Clarendon at the historic Mulkey Theatre. The Visitor Center is open daily, Monday-Friday, and serves to welcome visitors to our community as well to provide information about Clarendon and Donley County. Chamber and CEDC personnel also respond to requests for information over the telephone, through email, and via social media. The Visitor Center distributes welcome guides and information to new comers and visitors.

Brochure & Business Card Display: Chamber members are permitted and encouraged to display their business cards and brochures at the Visitor Center for easy access by newcomers to our city. Restaurants that join the Chamber are also encouraged to leave “to-go” menus for our out-of-town guests.

Networking Opportunities: The Chamber hosts several activities during the year to allow current and potential Chamber members the opportunity to get to know each other and share ideas over refreshments in a relaxed setting at various locations.

Preferred Referrals: Chamber members are given top referrals when callers to the Visitor Center inquire about goods or services available in Clarendon and Donley County.

Ribbon Cuttings: Chamber members may request an official Ribbon Cutting to celebrate opening a new business or new location, remodeling their facilities, an anniversary or a change of ownership.

E-Mail Newsletter & Updates: A monthly e-newsletter is distributed to members with information on coming events and Chamber activities.

Social Media Promotions: Chamber members’ social media posts are shared frequently on the Chamber’s Facebook page to help spread the word about your business or organization.

Business / Community Promotion: The Chamber works to promote its member businesses and our community by participating in regional activities such as the Amarillo Business Connection and by distributing local promotional material to regional and statewide outlets.

Online Business Directory: The Chamber website – ClarendonTX.com – features a listing of Chamber members with links to members’ websites. The Chamber website is updated regularly with upcoming events and community information and typically receives 1,500 visits per month.

Photocopy & Fax Services are available to Chamber Members through our office in the Clarendon Visitor Center.

Membership Placard: Each Chamber Member is given a handsome placard to display in their business.
